Gracias to our family and amigos for all the love, prayers, and monetary support as we get ready for our summer mission trip. This is going to be an amazing opportunity to serve Christ through this community. We have had two team meetings, sent out support letters, memorized Philippians 2:3-4, and secured passports and tickets.
As many of you already know, we are going to be working with Ravah Ministries to help the local churches of Mazatlan instead of being beach turistas. We will be doing construction, cleaning, and community outreach everyday that we are there. We got our packing list so with items like work gloves, a Nalgene water bottle, and a hat/bandana, we definitely have some hard work ahead.

It is so great you guys are there - and I am praying for you to be strengthened and that the Lord will bless your hard work and sacrafice. And I know that even more He will bless you in your hearts and lives.
ReplyDeleteI don't think there are a whole lot of Americans who go there - to serve and not just vacation. What a huge statement that is that you are there to serve the people who are usually the ones who are serving the Americans! Blessings and give big hugs to Madison and Paul! Love, Julie
